Guyu: Rain makes grain
Author: WANG Ling Editor: General Office June 10, 2017
Guyu, or Grain Rain, is the last term of spring. “Rain brings up the hundreds of grains.” The old saying indicates that rainfall in late spring is extremely important for the growth of harvests.
It is the best time of the year. The temperature will rise rapidly, but the early summer is never too hot or too dry.
It is customary for southern China citizens to drink tea on the day of Grain Rain.
Summer days, welcome.
